Of all the places that I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to I think England and specifically London stole my heart. I had read volumes of books, seen loads of movies and documentaries and of course am a Masterpiece Theater junkie.

It was magical for me to see the sights that I had been dreaming about for years, every day of my stay was breathtaking. London was mostly sunny and cool during my visit which was perfect for seeing the sights.

Big Ben, The Tower of London, Parliament, Buckingham Palace, 10 Downing Street, 221 B Baker street and Westminster! The British Museum with the Rosetta Stone and Kensington Palace. The buildings were so diverse and spoke to the age of the city.

Stone and timbered beams, thatched roofs, stained glass juxtaposed with giant modern skyscrapers. We took a day trip to Stonehenge and Oxford. There is truly a spiritual quality in the ether at Stonehenge.

I walked round and round the stones imagining all that might have transpired. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see Henry the VIII wandering around Oxford.
